2024/2025
The VPS Musical Program is a unique opportunity to create and perform a full length musical production with a group of committed and enthusiastic performing arts students.
You must be fully committed to weekly rehearsals, as well as rehearsing at home along with the odd weekend rehearsal and full days for theatre performances. We expect commitment to the program throughout the year and students will be expected to put in the work outside of rehearsal times. Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and your child’s rehearsal day will be confirmed following the audition. There may be a minimal costume fee and performance tickets are not included.

AUDITIONS
Please fill out the audition form and we will send you the audition materials.
New students will require an in-person audition and current 2023/2024 Academy students may submit a video.
AUDITION DATES
Thursday, July 11th (12pm-2pm)
*Video auditions are due by June 11th.
YOUR CHILD SHOULD PREPARE:
30 seconds of a musical theatre song that should be sung acapella and suits their personality and voice
Memorize and perform a short monologue that will be provided when you are notified of your audition time
By enrolling in this program, you acknowledge and accept that no credits or refunds will be issued after the 1st week of rehearsal.

MUSICAL THEATRE
PREPARATORY PROGRAM
We recommend that students new to VPS or auditioning for Musical Company for the first time take the Musical Theatre Preparatory Program.
This intensive program will help students prepare for their audition and build on their musical theatre skills to give them a foundation for Musical Company. No experience necessary. Please note, this does not guarantee acceptance into the Company.
